Sale-A-Bration - Last Day

Awwww I am sad that Sale-A-Bration is over, it has been fab to have this event so early on in our Stampin Up careers over here! More exciting things to come soon though so onwards and upwards!!! Here is a card I have made combining 2 of the Sale-A-Bration sets, Botanical Blooms and Polka Dot Punches! I have stamped the Botanical Blooms to create a background and layered over the flowers with the outline stamp. I also softly stamped on the section where the sentiment and flowers are.

The sentiment is from hostess Level 1 set Best Yet and the flowers are punched out with the 5 Petal Punch and layered up . In the corners I have used my pricking tool for extra effect! Colour combo is Regal Rose, Old Olive and Rose Red over the top of the flowers.
Thank you to all my customers who purchased from me over the last 2 months, I hope that those of you who took advantage of the free sets have enjoyed them as much as I have!!

Sale-A-Bration - 2 Days to go!

Well only today and tomorrow left for you to take advantage of the free stamp sets through Sale A Bration! Here is a little Easter treat box I have made using the Yummy stamp set which is perfect for Easter chocs!!!!! The box is made from acetate, not something I have used a lot of but I enjoyed doing this as it was different to what I have done before!

The colour combo is of course my firm favourite, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip!! (oh how I love that Chocolate Chip!! I even have a lady who calls me Choccy Julie now!!!) The paper which has been scalloped is from the Sweet Always papers and the ribbon is the Regal Rose grosgrain!

Now when it comes to matching the sweets/goodies I am very particular so I scoured the local shop this morning and found these Terry Chocolate Orange Eggs which are brilliant match for Pumpkin Pie!!! I just thought it would look so much better if the chocs matched!!!!!!

Hope you like this, I have to decide who to give this to now!! Might make them for the boys teachers!!

Last day of Sale A Bration tomorrow, got a card ready to show you!

Sale-A-Bration - 3 Days to Go!!!

Not long to go now!!!! Here I am again with another Sale-A-Bration project. This time a card made with the lovely Botanical Blooms set. A set of 7 stamps which you can stamp and then layer the outline over the top! I have done this quite randomly for a shabby look!!!
I have used a colour combo that is new to me!!! Never used Summer Sun before (had to break the seal on the ink pad if I am honest!!! ) and matched it with Cameo Coral, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip!

I did a bit of paper pricking in the top corners as they were looking a bit bare and I think it adds a little something!

Also experimented with a double scallop here at the bottom!!!!
Last night I did a lovely workshop with some fab new ladies! We made the gift box and the card from my blog yesterday! We did run out of time and the evening became quite rushed at the end so if any of you ladies are reading, sorry it was so rushed!! I hope you enjoyed yourselves though!! Your stash will be here very soon!!

If you would like any SU products please get in touch, details on my sidebar!!!

Sale-A-Bration - 4 Days to go

Here we are with another project which incorporates 2 of the free Sale-A-Bration sets that you can earn this week, but hurry as the offer ends on Saturday!!!!

We will be making this card at my workshop this evening. It is based on a card we made a few weeks ago when I went to High Wycombe for some Stampin Up training. It uses the Polka DOt Punches set and the Congratulations set. The images have been stamped and punched out with the co-ordinating punches which are available to purchase seperately.

The card is a joy fold card and I have stamped the white panel in Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue and Barely Banana.

The sentiment inside from the Congratulations set.
Hope the ladies enjoy this one too!!

Simple Wedding Card

My sisters friends got married in secret on Valentine's Day so she wanted to give them a card as a little momento and wanted some hearts on it. I have used a heart from the retired (but still available) Happy Hearts set. A very simple card with the heart stamped randomly and the spots stamped with the Polka Dot background stamp.

I printed their names off on the PC and then added the frame with the Frames with a Flourish set and added some flat backed pearls. Piece of Very Vanilla ribbon to finish off!

Well Sweeney is over, it went fab last night and I didn't get in until 3.30am but I am so glad its all over and I can get back to normal!! (is that a sign of getting old!!!)

Here is my card for the Penny Black challenge, Get Well soon. I have used a combo of Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and So Saffron.

The image is coloured with Stampin Up inkpads and highlighted with my SU gel pen. Sweet Always paper for the main background paper and the other papers are So Saffron Designer papers. The ribbon is my trusty Old Olive!! Sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations set.

Added my favourite retro daisies and curled them upwards for the 3D effect as seen above!

Mojo Monday Week 74

I can't believe I have only just got this set!!!!! Its one of those very versatile sets but I have never got it until now so I wanted to ink it up straight away!!!!! I decided to go "monotone" and had a Rose Red moment to tie in with the Loads of Love feel of the card! Papers are Rose Red designer papers and the ribbon is Pretty in Pink taffeta just to tone down the Rose Red! Lots of doodling on this card too!!!
Truck is watercoloured with ROse Red and Chocolate Chip inkpads.

The opening night went very well last night, a few very slight hiccups (not from me might I add!!!) but other than that, was fab!!! A great sense of achievement swept over us all when we took our bows to cheers and whoops!!!!!

Back tonight for more bloodshed!!!

Thank you and some scary photos!!!!!

Well tonight is opening night!!!!

We had a good dress rehearsal last night, I did everything right!!!!!!
I just wanted to say a big thanks to a lovely lady, Bekka, who is a fellow SU demo and one of my SU sisters!! Bekka has sent me these fab cupcake socks and a matching Good Luck card!!!! I am going to wear them tonight under my boots!!!!!!
WARNING - the next few photos are freaky!!!!!!! This is me with my scary, sinister make up on!!!!!! I tried to get it all off after we had finished last night but I am sure that eye liner is industrial strength as my hubby got a right shock when I walked in last night!!!!!

Thats my microphone dangling down, we have to wear them around our ears, hence the loop in the wire!

A little funny one for you!!!!!!!

Sorry there are no cards, its just madness here!! I might do one this afternoon!!!

A card from Milly!

Here as promised is the card from Milly the Cat!! I have never made a card from a cat before but I knew that my trusty All in the Family set would help me out! You really can make a card for everyone using it, which I have proved here!!!!!

A combo of Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink here with the sentiment from Seasonal Wishes. I have used a round nestie and doodled round it with Pumpkin Pie marker, images coloured with my markers and used my retro daisy punch.

I was informed Milly was black and white so I hope it looks a little bit like her!!!

Another Dress Rehearsal tonight, it went very well last night but I am hoping tonight will be even better!

Back tomorrow hopefully!

Romance isn't dead!!!!

A few weeks ago I had an email from the husband of one of the lovely ladies in my Stampers 10 club, Terri! Her hubby had found my email (sneaky) and asked me to make 2 cards for her from him! A Valentine card from him and one from their cat Milly!!! (awwww). How sweet was that! I was so honoured to help him out! Here is the card I made from Robert to give to Terri!!!!!
He told me she loves pink so I went with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Certainly Celery and the lovely A Rose is a Rose set! The paper is Sweet Always and the sentiment "From the Heart" is from the Seasonal Wishes set.

I have added some of the flatback pearls from the Pretties kits and also some Certainly Celery grosgrain.
The good news is SHE LOVED IT!! Terri rang me on Valentine's Day to say how thrilled she was!!! I will show you the card from Milly the Cat tomorrow!!!!!
All products Stampin Up and available through me!!!
Bye for now!! Dress rehearsal tonight!!!

Sketch Saturday Number 38

Gosh I made this card in such a rush today!!!! I had literally 15-20 minutes to come up with a card for my friend for her niece!!! So I thought I would use the Sketch on Sketch Saturday, kill 2 birds with one stone!!!!! Now I am not very happy with the colouring of the bear at all, its all gone blotchy but didnt have time to do it again!

Colour combo is Regal Rose, Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink, perfect for a 4 year old girl!!! Stamped her name "Anja" with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, which I have used loads and the Schoolbook Serif Numbers set! The old faithful Circle of Friendship punched out with the matching circle punches and added some daisies for an extra touch.

Regal Rose ribbon adds the finishing touch, you gotta have a bit of ribbon - right???

Hope Anja likes her card (even with the blotchy painting!!!!)

Jules

P.S I am going to be at the theatre from 10am until probably about 10pm today!!!!! My poor hubby has been great looking after the kiddies!! Might have to make him a card to say thanks!!!!!
xx

Sugar Bowl challenge - Number 4

The challenge for the Sugar Bowl blog this week is to use ONE piece of patterned paper! Now the joy of the Stampin Up papers is that they are double sided so it looks like I have used two pieces!! I have used another image from my friend and downline Sarah-Jane. Dont know what I would have doen without these images she sent me as I dont own many of the new Sugar Nellies!! (hint!!!!!!).

I have coloured it with my Stampin Up inkpads and used a colour combo of mainly Old Olive and Pixie Pink. The papers are from the Old Olive designer papers (available in my Paper Share!) and the sentiment is from the Level 1 hostess set Best Yet (another firm favourite!)

Those yummy flowers are stamped with the Sale a Bration set called Polka Dot Punches which can be yours free when you spend £45 on regular SU products but only until the end of the month!!! And then never again!! They have then been punched out with the 5 petal punch. I had another go at doing the rectangle with my scallop edge punch and its really easy once you know how!!! Contact me if you want more details on anything, I will be glad to help!
Well I will hardly be in the house now, I am at rehearsal today and then probably there from 10-10 on Sunday!! Wish they had wireless internet in the venue, that would be fab as I could keep checking all ya blogs!!!!
Bye for now

Cute Card Thursday

*****WARNING - CHEESY/SOPPY ALERT!*****

The challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is Music and Dance! You can use song titles on your card and I was just about to make a card for my hubby for Valentine's with this stamp and the song title came to me in a flash of inspiration! Its the song at the end of An Officer and a Gentleman and we had our first dance to this at our wedding over 12 years ago!!! awwwwwwww!!

I have coloured my Changitos in with SU markers and edged the rectangle with the scallop edge punch!! No need for nesties!!!!! Sentiment printed on my computer and I have matched it to the Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa colouring, Regal Rose is the pink colour!

The backing papers are the retired (but still available) Close to Cocoa designer papers and the ribbon is the gorgeous double stitched grosgrain.
I hope he likes it, he will probably think its very cheesy!!!!!!!

Spoon FUll of Sugar challenge 38 - Doodle Doo

Well Tuesday night was my last night off until Saturday 21st when the show finishes so thought I would put it to good use and do my ironing - ahem which turned out to be cardmaking instead and here is one I came up with!!!
It is for the Spoon Full of Sugar Doodle challenge. I have used colours that I wouldn't normally have put together, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip. TIlda is sat on my new favourite Cupcake stamp, love it!!!! I have doodled around the edges with little hearts as you can see!

The flower and button are both Stampin Up and the ribbon is too, Choc Chip!! Backing papers are from the Pumpkin Pie Designers papers (available in my paper share!!!!)

The sentiment is from the Best Yet set.

I coloured everything in with these little babies!!! The Stampin Up Watercolour Wonder crayons!!! I am really pleased with them!! The cost £16.95 for a set of 12 and last ages and ages!!

The best thing is you dont even need to get them out of the tin, I just take the colour direct from the tip of the crayon with my aquabrush!!!

If you would like any SU products dont hesitate to get in touch with me!! julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

Thanks
