Sympathy needed

After a lovely time with Lucas it all ended in tears! As I was getting ready to take him home I put his pram in my car boot and stupidly used my thumb in an awkward position to close the car boot!
It has all swollen up and I have been to Minor Injuries to have it strapped up!
the downside is no crafting, driving, wedding stationerying or anything good!!
the upside is no washing up, tea making, ironing, washing, kid bathing, vaccuuming, etc etc
got to see the positives in life hey!
please excuse the typing, am doing it left handed!
check back tomorrow for exciting SU news

Neglected monkey!

Now you know I have a thing for cupcakes??? Well I also have a thing for monkeys!!! I have had this monkey stamp for ages and I have never used it!!!! SO I made sure I took it to the card group I went to on Thursday!
I have coloured the image with my copics and used a colour combo of Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue. The papers are Chocolate Chip designer papers and I have used the Spiral punch down the side, this is a great handy punch.
The sentiment is from the WOW flowers set which I have punched out using the trusty oval punches! Also used my star punch, gosh I love my punches!!!!

Arty farty angle!!
Well I am shattered after my night of having baby Lucas! He was a very very good boy and slept from 10.30 (his last feed) through until 6.15 but I have hardly slept myself! He was in our room in the travel cot and as he was next to me I heard every little snore, squeak, grunt etc..... I was on edge all night as it wa his first time here!!!
Think it could be an early night for me or even an afternoon nap!!

Stamp with Us DT card!

Good morning!

I have been Missing in Action from the Stamp with US challenges due to my hols but I am back now!! We have a Sketch challenge this week, as below!
When I made this card it had been 14 days since I had last made one!!!! Took a bit of getting back into it to be honest and no entirely happy with my effort but I have been trying to use the stamps from Fun and Fast notes the last few days, not that you can tell with all those baby prams I have been stamping!

The papers are Petals and Paisleys which are only available until 30th September. The image has been coloured with my Stampin Up markers

The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess set Best Yet, which again is only available until the end of September.

Arty farty angle as usual!
DONT FORGET THERE ARE JUST 3 PLACES LEFT ON MY STAMPERS 10 VIRTUAL CLUB. PLEASE READ THE POST AT THE TOP OF MY BLOG FOR DETAILS.

Well the muffins went down a treat today at cricket! They have asked for them next week! At least its nearly the end of the season!

Baby card crazy!

Gosh I seem to have been Baby card mad this week!!! Here is another one that my Sister asked me to make! She texted me to say can you make me 2 babys cards, 1 boy and 1 girl so I obliged and made this one, very similar to the one I showed yesterday!
I texted her to say I was making them that evening! At 10pm I get a text saying, have you made those cards cos I wanted a name on one of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aswell as cardmaking I do mindreading too! So here is the card before!
And here it is after, had to squish the flowers round a bit and the sentiment but it does look more balanced with a name on!

The papers are from Sweet Always papers and the pram is again from the Fun and Fast notes set. I have also done some faux stitching again and used 2 pieces of ribbon, 1 pink striped grosgrain and the yummy So Saffron grosgrain, only available until Monday on a purchase of £45 or more!

The name has been cut with the Plantin Schoolbok cartridge (which I must give back to my friend Anna!!!)

Arty Farty angle
Must dash, got to make 30 muffins for the cricket match today! I felt sorry for them because the cricket teas they get are rubbish so I am being nice for a day!!!
The captain of the team texted my hubby to say he was "looking forward to my muffins"!! Oooo err!!!!!!

My sister asked me to make 2 baby cards yesterday, one boy and one girl! I have gone for the same style as I did the other day! I am entering this into the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is New Beginnings. The colour combo is Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery
The image is 1 of 8 images from the FUn and Fast Notes set, they do also come with sentiments but I chose not to stamp the sentiment. The one I have used is a Hero Arts one.

That gorgeous Certainly Celery ribbon is only available for 4 more days if you place an order of £45 with me, and dont forget you will also get a mystery free stamp set too!!!

Papertake weekly

I am early this week with my entry for the Papertake Weekly challenge.
I have made this card for my Brother in Law James who celebrates his birthday on Friday.
Everything is Stampin Up except the little monkey image which was sent to me ages ago by the lovely Michelle from The Card Grotto, thanks Michelle.

I have coloured the cutey monkey with my Copic Ciao markers. The papers are Close to Cocoa designer papers, only available until 30th September as are the Brilliant Blue designer papers that I have used. I have tried to add the sentiment so it looks like the monkey is carrying it. The sentiment is from the WOW flowers stamp set.

Arty farty angle as usual.

Rubbish rainy day here today, the boys have gone off to football for the day again (they love it and so do I!!!!!)

New baby

My hubby's colleague became a Daddy for the first time on Sunday. We are soo pleased for them as they thought they would never be able to have kids so its extra special!
Robin asked if I would make a card for them. I must say my card was totally inspired by this fabulous card by my friend Kate, thanks Kate.
The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the pram stamp is from the Stampin Up Fun and Fast notes set, coloured in with my SU marker pens.

I have tried some faux stitching for the first time and cut her name out with the Plantin Schoolbook font on the Cricut.

Arty farty angle as usual!

Got to dash, got loads of housework and tea to cook then I have a wedding order to deliver tonight!

Bye for now

13 years today and Papertake challenge!

Today Robin and I have been married for 13 years!!! I was a child bride!!!!! LOL!!! DOnt know where the time went!!! Here is a photo that Evan took of us on the beach in Cornwall!

Here is the card I have made! I have kept it quite simple as those of you know Robin will know he isnt one for fussy things and quite a simple kind of guy, but not in the dim sense!!!!!

So this is me and Robino (as I often call him!) I have used the All in the Family set, I swear you can use this set for many different occasions! I have used it for Anniversary, Baby card, Father's Day, Mothers Day, Grandma birthday, Auntie birthday, Teacher Thank You card, Teacher Leaving card, Grandad birthday and those are the ones I can just think of off the top of my head!

I am also entering this card for the Papertake weekly challenge! It is their 100th challenge and you can pick any of the past challenges! I have gone for Spots and Stripes from 27 April 2009 and used them both on this card

Arty farty angle!
Hope to be back to daily posts now I am almost back to normal!

Here is a little card I have made for my Brother in Law from the boys, its his birthday this coming weekend and my sister and James are going out for the night and guess what???? My cutey Nephew is staying here overnight!!! OMG!!!! Am I a fool!!! I am actually quite chuffed that my sister asked me and obviously feels OK about leaving him with us!!!
Anyway onto the card, Spiced Cider papers and Schoolbook Serif Alpha and the fab Cheers to You set!
Arty Farty angle to show the depth!

I even splashed out with a bit of decorating inside!

A Rose is a Rose

Here I am, back as promised with my wonky card!!!!!! It feels so good to make a card again even if I couldnt get anything straight!!!
I have recently sold a couple of the Rose is a Rose stamp sets so it inspired me to get mine out and make a card. I have opted for a Criss Cross card.
COlour combo is So Saffron, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. The paper is the So Saffron Designer papers and I dont know what went wrong with it but it is all wonky on the right and looks a but rubbish!!!! The bow is made from the gorgeous (FREE if you spend £45 in AUgust) ribbon in Certainly Celery, lovely for tying bows!

Inside I have used the sentiment from Best Yet (wonky) and stamped a rosebud. While I had the set out I also decided to make a matching gift tag.

Here they are together. Hope to get a few cards made tomorrow as I have a few occasions coming up this week.

Bye for now

Hi folks, I hope I still have a few readers even though I havent blogged for so long!

We are back from our second holiday (sounds grand!!!) to my Mum and Dads caravan and we had a really great time!

Its back to normal now and today I took Evan to see Scooby Doo and the Pirate Ghost Live on Stage!!!

Here he is all dressed up in his new trendy shirt! I think he looks a bit of a mini Zac Efron!!!!!!
I havent made a card for 14 days until today!!!! I was so itching to get making again that I went at it like a bull in a china shop and it was wonky etc... Will pop it on later though to prove I have made one!

Challenge card

Well I am suffering from a few technical issues here!!! The wireless button on my laptop has stopped working so I cannot log on the internet on my usual laptop! Instead I am using my hubbys little notebook thing but none of my photos are on it and I cannot edit them or anything! Apparently I can buy a Wireless USB adaptor so lets hope that works!!

Here is a card I made before my hols on the Stamp with Us challenge night! It was a sketch challenge set by the lovely Zoe and I am not very happy with it but I have nothing else to show! And I made it in 20 minutes!

We have decided to go to my parents caravan tomorrow for a few days as they offered us a few days and its free!!!!!!!! I might try and schedule a post before I go!

We're back!

Morning folks! We got back yesterday after a very early start to beat the traffic, but our plan worked and we avoided the mad rush!!!
No cards since I have got home as I have been catching up with wedding stuff but I might have a play tonight as I really missed crafting!
Thought I would bore you with a selection of photos from this week!
We have fished! A new experience for my boys! We went away with some friends and Jim is a keen fisherman so he spent the day teaching the boys which Ross loved, Evan loved it for about half an hour until he was bored!!
Like 2 old men!!!
We had a few ice creams!

The beautiful beach we went to twice!

Evan was snap happy again this week and he took this impromptu photo
of me!!

I also thought I would share some piccies from the Cricket Final that Ross was in!

Here is Ross's number 2 fan!! ( I am number 1) Lucas!!!

My gorgeous Cricketer!

Collecting his trophy!

A very tired, hot and sad boy!!!!!

Sorry for the photo marathon, hope to have a card tomorrow!
