Craft Party

On Friday evening I ran a craft birthday party for one of my loyal customers daughters birthday! Annabel and 5 of her friends enjoyed making the owl projects below!!

First up was the hardest project of the evening, a tree card with the party owl popping out of the tree. The tree was created using the Woodgrain background stamp with a 1 3/4 circle punched out.

We then added a party banner with the Petite Pennant punch.

Next up was a simpler card and I had already die cut the Top Notes so I didnt have to take my Big Shot with me!
And finally the girls made a bookmark!!

Thanks for inviting me Kate and I am pleased they enjoyed it!!

Workshop projects

Last Tuesday I did a workshop for one of my lovely customers Anne and her group of card class ladies. Anne is a convert to Stampin Up and uses some of it in her classes so lots of the ladies were familiar with the product and the quality!

I decided to keep with the Pennant Parade make and take from my October workshops and we made the card below. I also demoed how to make the Gift Card holder on the right using the same colour combination.

The ribbon is the new Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dotty ribbon which I love! The papers are from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, 40 sheets of 12x12 in a pad, brilliant value!

I made this little hostess gift for Anne to say thank you (she also got the Gift Card holder I demoed and now all her ladies want to make them this week!!!)

Thanks for having me Anne and enjoy your hostess freebies!

Busy weekend!

Good morning!! I have been really slap dash posting to my blog since my return from Convention and this weekend was no exception!! I have been ultra busy and now things should calm down in the run up to Christmas!!! On Friday night I did a crafting party for one of my lovely customers daughters, they all did really well. We made projects with the owl punch which I will show you another day!

Today I thought I would show you a few different things!! Here are my gorgeous presents from Stampin UP that I won for REcruiting and for Leadership! My favourite item is the purse but I just keep looking at it and stroking it, its beautiful and I love the colours.

I was also lucky enough to win the silk scarf and the watch - WOW!! Yesterday it was my lovely downline Evelyn's birthday. Evelyn is from Ayr in Scotland and we only get to see each other a couple of times a year! She is a cracking girl and a real asset to our team - hope you had a lovely day Evelyn! Here is the card I made for her.

Very neutral colours, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

And finally one of the reasons why I was so busy is that on all day on Saturday I was involved with the Theatre Company's Strictly Come Dancing event! Some of my blog readers may remember that I took part in this event 2 years ago which led to me attending dance lessons. Basically the couples had a day to learn a dance and only 1 hour 15 minutes instruction from our dance teacher, Tim! I was there to assist the couples and help them perfect their routines!! I was then a judge for the evening. I asked my family to take some photos but they forgot!! This is the only one I have and it was during a break!!! So the other judges werent there!! I was in Len's seat!!!!
And finally I thought I would share this photo of my boys doing the Macarena!! THey had a fab night too!!
Back tomorrow - promise!

Christmas Cards

Hello and Happy Friday to you!! I am feeling mostly back to my usual chirpy self today which is a good job as I am doing a crafting party for one of my card club ladies daughters this evening!! We are making cute owl projects!!

I thought I would have a break from Convention things and show you the cards we made at my Christmas Club, 2 designs, 5 of each card - real production line stuff!!!

The set we used was Pines and Poinsettas and the colours are Wild Wasabi, Real Red and Chocolate Chip!

The papers are from the Holly BErry Bouquet and this is the perfect card for using all your scraps up. Not much stamping, just one sentiment from Perfect Punches.

I love the satin ribbon, it make bow tying much easier!

The next card was cased from a fave blog of mine, I love the design.

Hope you like my makes, back to the catching up cleaning!!

More from Convention - The Awards Night!

Hello there, I am beginning to feel a bit more normal (well as normal as it gets in this house!) so I am back with details of the wonderful awards night.

Its tradition for my lovely SJ and I to have a silly photo like this before we go down to dinner, sorry SJ - had to be done!!!

I went for a green frock this year, there was a reason for this - not just because its my favourite colour!!

I love this photo of my girls, just asked I asked to take their photo they burst out laughing!! Apparently the night before whilst sharing a bed with SJ, I had turned over towards her and rubbed her arm up and down !! Oooo errr!!

So the awards night BLEW me away!! I was honoured to go on stage 6 times!! 5 times to collect awards and another time for something very special!! Shelli gives everyone the most genuine and warm hug when you walk the stage!
I just love how I have almost collapsed in Paula's arms on this one!!

There were lots of people who walked the stage for Sales, so many that we were queueing up!!!! My lovely second level downline Jules walked the stage for her sales and we were all so proud of her!
I look like I am running to Paula on this one, its like slow mo!!!

Here I am with my Mummy Monica and Michelle Last, this photo was for Recruiting and I came 2nd place.
I was just so made up when my lovely Angela walked the stage for her Leadership, she was very very surprised to have received this award!

Bless her!!
This one is like deja vu but this photo is for Leadership award, again I came 2nd place - my team have had an amazing year and I love them all to bits, they put me on that stage!!

A few months back, in July, Stampin Up approached me to perform at Convention!! OMG I was so honoured, I sang a song from Wicked called For Good - the lyrics are so beautiful and can relate to the friendships I have made whilst being a Stampin Up Demonstrator.

If you have never heard the song, it is usually a duet at the end of the show - here it is on You Tube. Please listen to the lyrics
I cannot begin to tell you how nervous I was but I was truly honoured to have had the chance to do this and I am so pleased they trusted me to give a good performance!!
So after the emotion of performing, I then went back to my seat and was blown away to find I had come 3rd in Demonstrator of the Year - wowsers - I was amazed!!!!

Thank you thank you thank you to all my team, my customers, my fellow demos and my family for helping me achieve this! The photo below is all of the Demo's who have achieved the trip to Vienna next year, lots of lovely UK demos are on the trip and some of my good friends for the first time!
So our table was full of my prizes, I had to get all that little lot home!! I will show photos of them tomorrow!

After the awards it was off to the bar and I bought a round of drinks for my girlies to thank them for their hard work. Here they are from left to right - Sally-Jo, Yvonne, Nicky, Jeannette, Ann-Marie and Kate.
Karen, Lynda and Evelyn
Shazza, Angela, Julie, Chris and Jules. Poor Jill was feeling poorly and had gone back to her room :(
This was the state of mine and SJ's bed after the awards dinner!!

Next news, SJ leapt on the bed amongst the prizes!! Love it!

So of course I had to get in on the action too!!!

On a serious note, this Convention exceeded my expectations, it was the most wonderful couple of days with lovely people. Stampin Up organised such a fab event and I would love to share this with even more demonstrators in the future! If you would like more info on becoming a Demonstrator and attending next years Convention in Germany then please do get in touch with me.

Where do I start?

Hey there!

I am sorry for the delay in updating about my trip to the Annual Stampin Up convention but I have returned home poorly and have been struggling for the last 2 days!!

It has been the most amazing time spent with girls from our wonderful team and other fellow demonstrators from across Europe, and I am on cloud nine!

I simply cannot put all the photos on today so I am putting a selection on fromDay 1 and will return tomorrow with piccies from the Awards dinner. I do however want to update you and thank you - my wonderful customers as I had lots of awards to receive at Convention

Number 4 in Sales in the UK
Number 2 in Recruiting in the UK
Number 2 in Leadership in the UK
3rd Place in Demonstrator of the Year!!!

WOW - I am truly thankful to you all and my wonderful group of Julie's Jems. We had such a good time together and they are the best group of girls I could wish for!

So here are a few pictures

The theme was GROW so there were lots of displays with flowers and garden themed projects, a tonne of inspiration for us to see!!

One of my team members SALLY-JO had never flown before or left the UK and she was SO excited to be there - when the music began at the start she was up and dancing, it was a joy to see!!
Shortly after,Yvonne and Jeannette joined in with the UK Manager Paula Gorry for a spot of dancing at the front!!

Have you seen our shirts, most of us had these made with our names on and Julie's Jems on the back, I must thank Sally-Jo for organising this, it made it so much easier to find each other on the first day! Here is the wonderful Shelli Gardener on stage on her first presentation. Some of my words featured in this presentation and it was an honour to be asked to give my thoughts on Stampin Up!

Here is our gang on the main stage. We were lucky enough to win a VIP photo session and the photographer also took a photo on my camera!

I just had to share this one of my Chris (left) and her downline Jules (right), messing about behind the flower displays on stage!

Back tomorrow all being well - I have a workshop tonight so I need to get myself sorted out!

Roomie Gifts

Hello there!! How are you doing??

I have had the pleasure of sharing my room at Convention with 2 of my loveliest SU buddies, Jo D and Sarah-Jane!! They are both such talented crafters that I had been worrying what to make for them as their "Roomie Gift". I have seen a lot of gorgeous pictures made with the Embosslits butterfly so I bought these white frames and made a little picture for them for their craft rooms to remind them of our friendship!

I just hope they get there in one piece and the girls like them!!

The colours are all from the Subtles family and I thought it shows them off really nicely!

OK then thats me done for today, I should be home mid afternoon. I am a bit sad as Evan is dancing in a competition today and I am missing it!!! He is doing lots of dancing as well - typical!!!
